How long does a typical session last?
The length of a photo session can vary depending on the type of session, and the number of subjects being photographed. Here are some general guidelines:
-
Mini sessions: Mini sessions typically last 20-30 minutes and are designed for capturing a few quick portraits or updating a family photo.
-
Standard sessions: Standard sessions usually last 1-2 hours and allow for more variety in poses, backdrops, and outfits.
-
Special sessions: Special sessions like Newborn or Maternity sessions may last longer to allow for breaks and feedings.
It's important to communicate with us about the specific needs and goals for your photo session. This can help determine the appropriate length of time needed to capture the images you want.
How many photos can I expect to receive?
Every session you will receive a link that will be sent to your e-mail address to download all the edited pictures from your session. A mini session can have 8-10 pictures, but a full 30 minute session can be 20+ images.
How long will it take to receive my photos?
The turnaround time for receiving your photos can vary depending on several factors, such as our workload, the type of session you had, and the number of photos taken. Typically, you can expect to receive your photos within 1-4 weeks after your photo session.
We do offer a sneak peek or a few edited images within a few days of the session. If you have a specific deadline or need the photos sooner, it's important to communicate that with us as soon as possible. It's always a good idea to discuss the expected turnaround time with us before the session so you know what to expect.
Do you offer prints and other products?
We do not offer to print your pictures. You have access to download all of your pictures straight to your phone from the e-mail link provided after your pictures are edited and delivered. However if you do need assistance and would like us to do this we can and it would be an extra charge.
What should I wear to my session?
Choosing what to wear for a photography session can be an important decision that affects the overall look and feel of the photos. Here are some general guidelines to consider:
-
Coordinate, but don't match: You don't have to wear the same color or pattern as everyone else in the group, but it's important to make sure that everyone's clothing looks cohesive. Choose a color scheme or a general style and work from there.
-
Avoid logos and busy patterns: Clothing with logos or busy patterns can be distracting in photos. Instead, opt for solid colors or simple patterns that won't detract from the subject of the photo.
-
Dress for the occasion: Consider the location and purpose of the photo session when choosing your outfit. For example, if it's a family photo session at the park, you may want to wear comfortable, casual clothes and shoes.
-
Add texture and layers: Adding layers and textures can create visual interest and depth in photos. Consider wearing a scarf, hat, or sweater to add dimension to your outfit.
-
Avoid trends: It's best to avoid clothing that is too trendy or may look dated in a few years. Opt for classic, timeless pieces that will stand the test of time.
Ultimately, it's important to wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident. If you're not sure what to wear, we can offer some suggestions based on the location and style of the photo session.
